It’s National Heritage Day tomorrow (aka Braai Day) and that usually means a braai and drinks with friends, but if you who haven’t planned anything or you were left behind while everyone else took an extended weekend away, fear not… I have some tickets to giveaway to Phunktional!
What started as an annual gathering with a few friends who played cricket in the garden, drank beers, had a braai and a good time, has blossomed into a great, music-filled day and this year will feature top local artists such as Matthew Mole (he made South African headlines recently when he opened at the number 1 spot on the iTunes store), Trevor Rebello, The Quilts (the new project from Jean-Louise Nel of Dear Reader), Yo Grapes (the side project from Craig, the drummer from Desmond and the Tutus) and Adventure Man (aka Gad from Shortstraw Band).
The intimate concert will kick-off in the forest from 11am at Toadhall Farm (96 Hilton Road, Linbro, Sandton). Tickets can be obtained at the door at R80 p.p. and parking is R20 a car.
Pack a picnic basket and blanket or bring some camping chairs and some dop & chop. There will be a cash bar and food stalls to keep your hungry tummies at bay!
The host of this epic event , King Chip (@Twat_Chip) has been very generous and given me 3 double tickets to giveaway as prizes!
